COMMERCIALIZATION

The consumer is the “king” of our TRACOD project. A main goal of the project is to boost the consumers’ confidence in the food they buy and put on their table by increasing their awareness of the nutritonal value of proteins and fat, as well as moisture and freshness parameters. This is true not for fish only, but for food in general. The increase in consumers’ involvement will be by exposing them to the new capabilities of the mobile app we will develop, enabling consumers to get real-time information of the macronutrient content, moisture, and freshness of food on their table.

The white fish market is highly competitive and has low margins of profit. Therefore, fishing companies will be open or even eager to examine new technological systems and products that will leverage their fish harvest and ensure its proper handling all the way to the end consumer. Using the business connections that both Matis and Telspec have in the relevant markets due to their immersion in this domain, we will approach relevant fishing, shipping, transporting and storing companies, as well as supermarkets, and offer them to use our system as beta testers as early as we have a working module that can be beneficial to the user.
