XPECTRUM – SMART RETAIL
Xpectrum enables digital tools to increase safety, quality, and authenticity (FQA) in food and retail. It provides retailers with a platform for data management that includes near infra-red (NIR) spectroscopy. NIR spectroscopy offers hands-on, fast, and reliable technology, enabling new standards iof food quality and authenticity, enabling retailers to counter food fraud and develop highest quality food supply chains.
Within TRACOD, Xpectrum is deploying a hand-held NIR spectrometer to predict the freshness of fish by measuring at different points along the supply chain. Xpectrum develops applications that are used by the stakeholders in the supply chain and an app that provides fully transparent pertinent food information on the quality of various fish products available for purchase in points of sale such as supermarkets.
